Brentford winger Tariqe Fosu joined Ghana’s senior national team on Wednesday in training ahead of their friendly clash with the Elephants of Ivory Coast.

Fosu and Arsenal star Thomas Partey were the only players to join the squad after their 1-0 defeat to Morocco on Tuesday.

The Brentford winger was sidelined for the friendly with Morocco by head Coach Charles Akonnor after the player turned up late at the training camp for the game.

According to the Ghana FA, he reported to camp on Friday evening, after the side’s training session in Cape Coast.

Coach Akonnor then engaged Fosu briefly telling him that reporting late has hampered his chances of travelling with the team to Morocco.

But the swift winger joined the team on Wednesday afternoon for their recovery session at the Robert Mensah Stadium after the Morocco defeat.

He will be up for selection on Saturday as the Black Stars take on Ivory Coast in the second friendly at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.

He made his debut for the Black Stars in a friendly encounter against Mali in October last year.
