The Ghana Football Association have clarified issues surrounding the absence of winger Frank Acheampong’s for the Black Stars international friendly against Morocco on Tuesday.
The Shenzen FC player was expected to make the trip to Egypt with his colleague but was conspicuously missing in the squad.
According to the football federation, the Shenzen FC captain had been excused from the game because of the burial of his late mother over the weekend.
“Frank is bereaved. He laid his late mother to eternal glory over the weekend and couldn’t make time to join the team for the matches. But the China based winger was at the Airport to see the team off as a sign of support
It’s not yet known if he will join the team for the second game against Ivory Coast in Ghana.
