Assistant coach of Legon Cities Wahid Mohammed has expressed his satisfaction with his side performance following their 2-1 win against Uncle T United in the MTN FA Cup.
A brace from Richmond Antwi was enough to hand the Royals a passage to the round 32.
Assessing his team’s performance after the game, the acting coach expressed his delight with the qualifications.
“It was a very good game from all areas. Kudos to the boys. They did well. Massive respect to Uncle T. They gave us a very difficult game and of course, we expected that. We are happy to progress.”
“We took our chances and that’s football. Not the best of performance but we did what we have to do. Our aim was to qualify to the next round and that’s secured.”
The coach also explained the reason the reason he benched some of the his regular players.
“We don’t build our team around just a single player and that we decided to rest some players and give opportunities to others who don’t play in the league.” He added.
