Karela United have withdrawn their two players from Black Meteors camp, the club has announced.
Top Scorer Diawusie Taylor and goalkeeper Richard Baidoo will not travel with the Black Meteors squad for the games against Japan and South Korea.
The national U-23 side has been billed to play Korea and Japan in a friendly next week as the two Asian sides prepare for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
The club on Monday releases a statement confirming they have withdrawn the two players from the camp as they want to concentrate on the upcoming League matches and the FA Cup.
“We have withdrawn our two players Richard Baidoo and Diawisie Taylor from the national u23 team. We wish the team all the best on the trip to Asia.”
They become the second club to withdraw their player’s after Hearts of Oak also withdrawn Afriyie Barnie and Salifu Ibrahim
