2Match Week 27 of the Ghana Premier League continues on Saturday with Aduana Stars welcoming Asante Kotoko to Dormaa with revenge or repeat on the agenda.
The game is special for various reasons as the two former champions lock horns to decide who reigns supreme on the day.
Aduana Stars enter the game as the only unbeaten home side so far in the league boasting a record of 9 wins and 3 draws in 13 games played at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park.
After a stuttered start to the campaign, the Dormaa Lads have recently had an upturn in fortunes seeing them with a slim chance of winning the title.
Currently lying 7th with 39 points accumulated, a win for the Ogya Lads will push them to 42 (4 beyond league leaders Asante Kotoko and Hearts Of Oak.)
They will however have to do this game without top scoer and key attacker Yahaya Mohammed who remains on the injury table with shoulder troubles.
The Ogya Lads will be buoyed by the fact that they have a very good record against Asante Kotoko at Dormaa. More so they also won the reverse fixture and will be eyeing repeat over the Porcupine Warriors.
Asante Kotoko go into the game with revenge on their minds while also eyeing a win at Dormaa for the first time.
They lost grip on the top spot last week as they dropped points at home to WAFA.
After taking the lead, the Porcupine Warriors conceded late in the first half and eventually recorded a 1-1 stalemate with the Academy Boys.
The result saw them drop to 2nd (joint top with Hearts of Oak) with a point tally of 46.
The Porcupine Warriors are in search of a win to reclaim the top spot. But Aduana FC looks hungry to preserve their unbeaten home run.
The reverse fixture in the first round of the season ended 1-0 in favour of Aduana FC with Samuel Bio netting the winning goal at the Accra Sports stadium.
The game is scheduled for 3pm GMT and will be shown live on StarTimes Adepa channel 247.
