The team at FMIG has put together a team of best performers in the Ghana Premier League during Match Week 26.
Topscorer Diawusie Taylor partner Dreams FC attacker Ali Huzaif and Legon Cities attacker Jonah Attuquaye up-front.
From the goalkeeper to the last outfield player, we have taken time to give the various reasons that qualifies the players to make our Team of the Week.
1 – Danlad Ibrahim ( King Faisal )- Great game for King Faisal as they secured an important win against Elimina Sharks. Danlad was the reason why King Faisal won the game due to his crucial saves in the second half. He was named man of the match on the day.
2– Fatawu Alhassan ( Medeama ) – The young player had a very good game against Ashantigold. He was solid at the back and stop almost all the Ashantigold attcak.
3- Imoro Ibrahim ( Asante Kotoko) – Wore his socks of the team but wasn’t enough as they were held to 1-1 draw against WAFA. Moro showed more attacking intent and created a lot of opportunities.
4- Rashid Mohammed ( Eleven Wonders)- Was named Man of the match despite his side’s defeat to Hearts of Oak. Rashid was commanding at the back and stop the Phobians attacs on several occasions.
5– Ismail Abdul Ganiyu ( Asante Kotoko) – Scored Asante Kotoko goal from the spot. Was at his usual best at back won almost all the aerial duels.
6 – Richard Amoah ( Ebusua Dwarfs ) – The midfielder stole the show with a sensational performance on the day. He was the heart of Dwarfs midfield as the came back from a goal down to beat Liberty Professionals.
8- Frimpong Boateng ( King Faisal) – Mr reliable, Boateng produced another impressive display for King Faisal as they secure an important win away at Elimina.
Boateng was all over the pitch doing the defending and attacking at the same time.
7- Stephen Amankona ( Berekum Chelsea)- Got the important equalizer to rescue a point for Chelsea against Karela United. The skipper was a thorn in the flesh of the Karela United defense.
11- Jonah Attuquaye (Legon Cities) – Scored a beautiful goal for Legon Cities to break deadlock of the game. Worked very hard for the team and was named man of the match on the day.
10- AliHuzaif ( Dreams FC) – The young chap has finally found his scoring boot for the Dreams FC after a slow start.
Huzaif got a brace on the day as Dreams defeated Bechem United. He was named man of the match on the day.
9-Diawusie Taylor( Karela FC) – Taylor scored a beauty to give Karela United the lead at the Golden City Park. He was denied several times by wonderful goalkeeping from Gregory Obeng. The goal was his 15th of the season.
