Legon Cities FC ended Aduana’s three-game winning run with a comfortable 2-0 victory at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
A goal in either half by Jonah Attuquaye and Joseph Addo ensured all three points for the Royals.
The home team looked up for it right from the blast of the whistle with the first chance of the game falling to Attuquaye whose effort went just wide.
However the striker was not to be denied in the 13th minute as he finished off a brilliant assist from Matthew Anim Cudjoe.
They remained largely untroubled by the toothless Aduana attack as the first half ended 1-0.
After the recess, Legon Cities continued to assert themselves on the visiting team especially in midfield.
On the hour mark, Cities were awarded a penalty after Richmond Antwi’s strike hit the hand of a Aduana defender.
Adjei stepped up and converted expertly to seal what turned out to be a fairly routine win.
