Zuberu Sharani staged an incredible outing for Zemplin Michalovce on Saturday evening, inspiring his aide to a 4-0 away win over Nitra in the Slovakia Fortuna Liga.
Two goals in each half were all that the visitors needed to thump Nitra at the Station pod Zoborom in Nitra.
Sharani who lasted the entire duration of the game fired his shot on the 52nd minute to hand his side a relaxed moment in the game as they eyed escaping from relegation.
Before the game, Sharani had disclosed to footballmadeinghana.com that he was highly optimistic Zemplin Michalovce will escape the drop.
“We have just one game to finish and I’m focused on finishing on a good note,” he told footballmadeinghana.com in an exclusive interview.
“Also looking at the position we are on the log, that one game is our most important game of the season.
“So it’s a must win-game for us to escape the relegation and I am very optimistic we’ll win to escape the drop,” he added.
True to his words, the former Dreams FC striker had his name on the scored sheet as they succeeded in escaping the drop.
Sharani’s injury return had served as a huge catalyst to the ambition of the side to escape relegation believes they have the needed confidence to keep their position in the league.
