WAFA will eye a second consecutive win when they face Legon Cities on Saturday in the Ghana Premier League.
The Academy Boys recorded a shocking win on the road against Medeama SC on Wednesday and will look to keep the momentum going when Legon Cities pay a visit at the Sogakope Park in this Match Week 25 fixture.
WAFA’s win against Medeama was sweet in the sense that they had to come from behind to punish the home side who took an early lead.
However, a second half rallying saw them bounce back to not just equalise but take maximum points against the title contenders from Tarkwa.
Against Legon Cities, Coach Prosper Narteh Ogoom will hope for same spirits and performance from his lads.
Legon Cities are battling against relegation but have such a decent squad list to prove a threat for any opponent. The Royals won 2-1 against Liberty in their last game and will eye at least a point in this game to help their bid for survival.
They now have 26 points and sit just one point above the 16th position.
In 11 away matches played the Royals have not really impressed with a record of 1 win, 3 draws and 7 defeats.
They have recently contracted former Ghana and Asante Kotoko Coach Maxwell Konadu to steer affairs technically and would count on him to get them a positive result in Saturday’s encounter.
Expect a keenly contested encounter with both teams likely to get on the scoresheet.
