Black Stars Head Coach, CK Akonnor has disclosed the Technical team of the Black Stars is monitoring all players and at the right time, they will be called back into the fold.
On Wednesday, the Black Stars gaffer announced his 30-man squad for the impending friendlies against Morocco and Ivory Coast.
Some notable absentees from the squad included in-form Cagliari midfielder Alfred Duncan and highly rated Southampton defender Mohammed Salisu.
Duncan has enjoyed a stellar campaign for Cagliari this season playing 20 games in the Serie A and providing excellent cover for the defense.
Salisu on the other hand after enduring a torrid start to his Southampton career has now become an influential figure in the Saints defense.
Many expected the duo to feature in the 30-man squad for the June friendlies but were absent and CK Akonnor in explaining their absence disclosed they’re being monitored and will join at the right time.
“At the right time, Alfred Duncan and Mohammed Salisu will join us. We are watching their progress” – CK Akonnor revealed.
