Head Coach of the Black Stars, Charles Kwabla Akonnor yesterday revealed he was happy with the 30-man squad called up for Ghana’s upcoming friendlies in June.
The Black Stars as a result of the postponed World Cup qualifiers will be playing two friendlies in June against Morocco and Ivory Coast and the Black Stars gaffer yesterday announced the squad who will be featuring in those games.
During the last international window, there were widespread reports CK was unhappy with the squad called up for the AFCON qualifiers against South Africa and Sao Tome & Principe.
However, this time around at the presser where he announced the squad for June’s friendlies, CK disclosed he was very much happy with the players called up.
“Some players have not been called up because of certain factors. [However,] we’re satisfied with the 30-man squad we have” – CK stated.
Ghana will travel to Rabat for their friendly against Morocco before hosting Ivory Coast in Ghana.
