The Ghana Football Association’s Disciplinary Committee has taken a decision on Techiman City in relation to cases about some Division One League matches this season.
Techiman City were hauled before the DC in two separate cases by Real Tamale United and Tamale City.
In the first case, the petitioners Real Tamale United protested against Techiman City before the Disciplinary Committee in relation to the latter’s no-show during a Zone 1 Division One League Match Day 16 fixture.
In making their case, Real Tamale United urged the Committee to declare a forfeiture against Techiman City for failing to show up and honor a sanctioned match without just cause and the necessary applications be activated according to the GFA General Regulations as well as the Division One League regulations.
After hearing the defence of Techiman City and following subsequent findings, the Disciplinary Committee decided on the case, with the decision going in favor of the petitioners.
As a result, Techiman City suffer a double punishment after been found culpable of forfeiting the match without just cause.

In another case against same club,
Techiman City FC has also suffered similar fate following a protest by Tamale City.
Tamale City protested against Techiman City FC for acts of supporters of the former which caused the abrupt end of their Division One League Match Day 15 match played at the Ohene Ameyaw park, Techiman which contravened the Division One League
Regulations.
Tamale City consequently prayed the Disciplinary Committee to declare Techiman City FC as losers of the said match in accordance with the GFA Division One League Regulations and that Techiman City and the GFA Disciplinary Code accordingly with the necessary application thereof activated.
After hearing the case of the respondent and subsequent findings, the Committee took the following decisions against Techiman City.
In effect this means, Techiman City have been deducted a total of 12 points and 6 goals plus a combined fine of GHs 6000 to be awarded to two clubs that protested at the Disciplinary Committee.
Techiman City are to pay the fines within 14 days effective form the day of the decision communicated to them.
They also have the option to appeal within a timeline of one day from the day of receiving the decisions of the DC.
