Dreams FC cruised to a convincing 2-0 win over 10-man Hearts of Oak at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu on Sunday.
The Still Believe Lads punished the visitors minutes after Nuru Sulley received his marching orders in the opening nine minutes of the second half and then struck again in additional time.
Ali Huzaif’s header gave the home team the lead before substitute Sylvester Simba sealed the victory in stoppage time.
This victory is marked as a sweet revenge for Dreams Fc given they suffered a 3-0 humiliation in the first round of the ongoing/2021 Ghana Premier League at the hands of the Phobians.
The result has now put Dreams Fc on the fift spot of the league log with 34 points.
While the defeat has dealt a major blow to Hearts of Oak’s title chances who have now dropped down to 4th- five points adrift league leaders Medeama.
Dreams next travel to face Asante Kotoko in a mouthwatering Matchday 23 encounter next weekend. Hearts of Oak will also look to bounce back at home to King Faisal.
