Medeama SC attacker Prince Opoku Agyemang has made a bold declaration by picking his outfit as the best in the country.
The Tarkwa based club currently sit on top of the league with 36 points following their victory against Asante Kotoko.
The Mauve and Yellow side came back from a goal down to record 2-1 win over Asante Kotoko in the matchday 21 games at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium over the weekend.
Opoku who scored one of Medeama’s goal on the day admitted that Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak are doing well but Medeama remain the best team in the country.
“Undoubtedly, we have the best midfielders in Ghana, there’s no doubt about that,” he told Kumasi FM.
“The inclusion of the new signings such Amed Toure, Zakaria Mumuni and myself have boosted the confidence of the old players.
“I don’t think any club can compete us in terms of field of play this season. Our team cohesion works perfectly from the goalkeeping department to the attack.
“Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak though are doing well, to be honest, currently, the Tarkwa based club is the best club in the country,” he added.
Medeama will host Ebusua Dwarfs in the matchday 22 games at the Akoon Park this weekend.
