Asante Kotoko Head Coach Mariano Barreto remains adamant that his side did not miss the services of Brazilian player Fabio Gama in his side’s goalless stalemate against Greta Olympics.
The Porcupine Warriors faced the Dade Boys in a Ghana Premier League Match Week 20 on Friday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Kotoko played the game without the influential Gama, who had to sit out due to suspension.

“I didn’t miss Gama. Kotoko isn’t a one-person team. Kotoko isn’t Mariano Barreto, Razak Abalora or Gama. If one player is out, another player will come in and do his best, ” he said.
According to Mariano Barreto, his side failed to win as a result of Great Olympics defending very well.
He denied claims by Olympics Coach Annor Walker that Asante Kotoko set up defensively to play for a draw.
“My player snever play to draw. We came to win. If you watched the game, Abalora didn’t shoot the ball out. We came to build up play slowly but the opponents defended well,” he remarked.
