Musah Nuhu has opened up about how he felt after making his long awaited injury return for Swiss side St. Gallen back in June 2020.
The Ghanaian international who had been sidelined for over a year was handed the captains hand band on his return and played the last seven minutes of the 4-1 friendly win over Aarau.
Nuhu sustained the career-threatening knee injury while on Ghana duty at the AFCON training camp in Dubai ahead of the Egypt 2019 tournament.
He tore an anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee which jeopardized his chances of making his dream debut for the senior national football team.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with FootballMadeInGhana, the 24 year old recounted the moment he made his emotional return.
”It was a friendly and there were no fans in the stadium but my colleagues on the bench and the technical team gave me a standing ovation and it was something special that will forever stay in my heart”.
Nuhu’s return will be a massive boost to Ghana coach C.K. Akonnor who has been tasked to win the 2021 AFCON to be hosted in Cameroon.
