Ajax midfielder Mohammed Kudus has been named in EA Sports FIFA Team of the Week (TOTW) following his impressive displays for Ghana in the just ended 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Kudus was the best player when Ghana played out a 1-1 draw with South Africa in the penultimate qualifying game at the FNB stadium.
The Ajax midfielder replicated his goal-scoring feat just like in the first leg of the tie with a brilliant strike before the Bafana Bafana drew level to earn a draw.
The 20-year-old upped the ante in the final qualifying match against São Tomé and Principe registering two assists as Ghana eased to a 3-1 victory.
His performances in the two games did not go under the radar as he joined two other African stars in the starting XI of the EA Sports FIFA 21 Team of the Week.
Kudus joins the likes of Arsenal & Gabon captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who was on target in a 3-0 win for Gabon over DR Congo as well as Tottenham and Ivory Coast defender Serge Aurier in the enviable list of top performers.
