KAA Gent winger Osman Bukari was handed his debut start for the Black Stars of Ghana in the 2021 AFCON Qualifier against Sao Tome on Sunday.
The 22-year old made his debut appearance for the Ghana senior national team when the Black Stars played as guests to South Africa at the FNB Stadium on Thursday in the penultimate clash of the 2021 AFCON Qualifier.
Bukari after an impressive outing against South Africa after coming for Kwame Opoku was handed a starting role for the Black Stars in the ultimate group game against Sao Tome.
Bukari lasted the entire duration of the first half of the game and was substituted at the start of the second half for Gladson Awako.
The former Accra Lions playmaker made his professional Fortuna Liga debut for AS Trenčín against Ružomberok on July 29, 2018.
Osman Bukari was named among the best 11 players in the Slovakia top-flight for the season 2019-2020, and was the most influential player for his club AS Trencin.
He joined KAA Gent at the beginning of the new football season and has since been instrumental for the Jupiler League side
