Black Satellites captain Daniel Afriyie Barnieh showed up when it matters most by scoring a brace to help Ghana clinch a fourth Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
The Hearts of Oak forward scored at either side of half time to ensure the West Africans celebrated their Independence Day as champions again.
Ghana defeated Uganda by 2-0 to win the U20 AFCON in Mauritania despite their slow start to the campaign.

Danlad Ibrahim (C) (7/10)- Good game from the goalkeeper. Forced to make 2/3 saves in the first half as the Morrocans pushed for the opener. Saved set pieces in the second half. His passes to his teammates were very good and also communicated effectively to his teammates.
Philemon Baffour (5/10)- Baffour had few runs take ons in the first half and also defended well in the first half. The right back was more defensive in the second half as the Uganda push forward more.
Samuel Abbey Achie-Quaye (6/10)- The Lateral defender had one of his best game today. Attacked, tackled and communicated well. Very energetic and put no foot wrong in the game. What a tournament he has had.
Uzair Alhassan (6/10)- The Center back relatively had a good game. He made nice blockings and few tackles to deny his opponents.
Frank Kwabena Assinki (6/10)- Asinki is just a commander at the back. He made sure NO ball kisses the net tonight. He defended aggressively, but most importantly, the center back did a marvelous exercise tonight. Won all the aerial duel in the penalty box.
Abdul Fatawu Issahaku (6/10)- The Central Midfielder did well tonight. Gave some incisive passes to his teammates. Fired shots but were blocked, as well as caused havoc to his foe many times.
Emmanuel Essiam (6/10)-
The Defensive midfielder lubricated his role tonight He hold up the defense to the central midfield making sure that none of his opponents come to the party tonight.
Mohammed Sulemana (5/10)-
Started but didn’t finish. Had nice times on the pitch but wasn’t at his best tonight, though he does come back to defend for his side.
Patrick Mensah (4/10)- Tackled well, but was committing more fouls. Was substituted out for Mathew Anim Cudjoe.
Precious Boah (6/10)- The Striker wasn’t at his best tonight. Gave more opponents passed, though he really fought for balls against his opponents.
Daniel Barnie (8/10)- Had his best game tonight. Help his side to lubricate the midfield as well as his two goals saw his side to win the ultimate. Won the man of the match following his two goals on the day.
