In what is a latest twist in an ongoing transfer saga, Coveted Eleven Wonders playmaker Salifu Ibrahim is set to snub Accra Hearts of Oak for Medeama SC, FMIG can report.
FMIG reported weeks ago that the player has already had initial talks with Hearts of Oak about joining.
The stumbling block has been his proposed monthly earnings. The player quoted an amount of not less than GH¢5000 which is way above Hearts of Oak’s figure of GH¢3500.
Hearts of Oak have been dragging their feet about paying such an amount which has effectively slowed finalizing of the deal.
In a latest twist, Medeama SC are set to steal a march on the Phobians, after emerging as the frontrunners for the player’s signature.
Talks with the player intensified on Wednesday after Medeama’s 2 nil home win over Eleven Wonders.
The player has agreed in principle to join and talks should escalate by close of the day.
Barring any last minute action from elsewhere, Salifu and his representatives should agree to Medeama’s proposal in the next 72 hours.
This will come as a big shock to Hearts of Oak who were confident they had the player in their camp.
