Ghana’s Black Satellites will today play their last group game at the ongoing Total U-20 Africa Cup of Nations against Gambia.
The Black Satellites will be eyeing qualification as the Top team in Group C when the game kicks off.
So far, Karim Zito’s side have recorded 4 points from their first two games. They beat Tanzania 4 nil in the Group opener before drawing goalless with Morocco.
Gambia on the other hand have just one point from two games although they still have a chance of qualifying if results go in their favor.
Ghana coach Abdul Karim Zito has declared clash with Gambia as very crucial in the Black Satellites’ qualification bid.
“It is going to be an interesting game because of different reasons. For us, though we have one leg in the next round we want to finish on top of the group. They will also want to come out and fight for qualification”, Coach Zito stated at the pre-match press conference on Sunday.
Karim Zito admits that Group C still remains open with all 4 countries still having chances of making it to the next stage. However, the Ghana gaffer was confident that his team has what it takes to secure a win on Monday.
“Everyone in this group can qualify. We were unlucky not to win our last match and that what makes tomorrow’s game a must-win for Ghana.”
“In terms of goals we may say we are ahead of others but for us finishing on top is our priority”.
“I know they are really preparing well for the match but we are also prepared to face them”the head coach stated.
Ghana vs Gambia will kick off at 7pm GMT at the Stade Municipal Nouadhibou.
The other Group C match; Morocco vs Tanzania will also be taking place at the same time at a different venue.
