Former Asante Kotoko coach Abdul “Golden Boy” Razak has expressed his wish to take over the Hearts of Oak coaching job should the club offer him the opportunity.

His comments comes following the resignation of Serbian tactician Kosta Papic on Monday.

The position has become vacant with Assistant coach Asare Bediako also leaving earlier this month.

According to Razak, he will jump at the chance to coach the Phobians should the opportunity avail itself.

“I am a professional coach and when any opportunities comes including that of Hearts of Oak I will gladly jump on and take the job” Karim Abdul Razak told Nhyira FM in Kumasi.

Abdul Razak won the Ghana Premier League title with Asante Kotoko in 2003 – breaking a six-year dominance from rivals Hearts of Oak.

The 1978 African footballer of the year has been without club since leaving Togolese side Etoile Filante  in 2020.
