Legon Cities head coach Bashir Hayford says his side’s 1-1 stalemate with King Faisal in the Matchday 14 of the Ghana Premier League was the fair reflection of the game despite admitting the visitors made things difficult for his side.
King Faisal took the lead through Wadudu Yakubu before Cephaz Doku scored a late goal to snatch a point for Legon Cities.
Speaking to the media after the game, Hayford revealed the visitors approach to the game forced him changed his game plan making things difficult for his players.
“They (King Faisal) came in strongly and aggressively. And we didn’t want to go in that way because of the small size of our squad. All those who are playing are the players we have.
“They came very well prepared for the game, so we were forced to play long balls. I haveĀ watched them twice and their performance today surprise me. If they played like this against the other teams I will be surprised how they are still lying at the current position.” He added.
Cities are 15th on the league table with 15 Points after 14 games.
