Head of delegation for the Ghana U17 national team, John Ansah is confident the team will cope better with the harsh weather conditions in their match against Morocco today.
The Black Starlets suffered 2-1 defeat to their Moroccan counterparts in the first of a two-legged friendly exercise amid cold weather in the North African Country.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with FootballMadeInGhana, John Ansah outlined some of the difficulties the team had faced in ensuring they are well kitted for the return leg but remained adamant the boys are ready to deliver regardless.
“We have made arrangements to ensure that will not happen again, we tried to contact our counterparts for what we could use to protect ourselves but the response was negative because they said they had to import it and they have stock for only their team so we brushed that one aside.
Again I spoke to the technical team about the responses from our collegues and they agreed there was nothing that could be done other than to psyche the players before the match. I have been reliably informed per the forecast given that we are likely to have some form of rains again. But since they were able adapt after the first 15 minutes of the first game, I bank my hopes on them that this time around they will be able to run through”
The team is scheduled to face the Moroccans at 3pm GMT on Thursday and will be streamed live via the Ghana Football Association’s Official Facebook page.
