AshantiGold SC host regional rivals Asante Kotoko in the Golden derby this afternoon. The game is a Match Week 11 fixture in the ongoing Ghana Premier League season.
AshantiGold enter on the game on the back of humiliating 5-2 defeat to struggling Legon Cities FC last weekend. They will be eager to make amends as they go in search of their first league win in last 3.
To get the best out of his side, AshantiGold Coach Milovan Cerkovic has relegated top striker Hans Kwoffie to the bench. Kwoffie, a former GPL top scorer pays the price for a barren spell upfront. The former Medeama SC and Wassaman United goal poacher has fired blanks in 190 minutes of GPL action.
Burkinabe goalie Bailou Mohammed comes in for the much criticized Felix Clottey who has been blamed for his side’s heavy loss last week.
Right back Kwadwo Amoako also comes in for the injured Appiah McCarthy.

On the part of Kotoko, midfielder Mudasiru Salifu makes his first start of the season following his recent recovery from injury. He made a brief appearance in the second half of his side’s loss to Aduana Stars in the last game.
Also Augustine Okrah makes his first appearance for the club since the opening weekend. The player who failed to secure a move to Moroccan side RS Berkane, gets into the starting eleven at the expense of the injured Patrick Asmah.
Midfielder Abdul Latif Anabila starts from the bench against his former club while Fabio Gama partners the in-form Kwame Opoku in attack.
