Ebusua Dwarfs and WAFA SC played out a 1-1 draw at the Cape Coast Stadium on Sunday.
Albert Hammond scored in second half to cancel Daniel Owusu early strike to ensure both teams shared the spoils.
After a cagey opening exchanges, Owusu broke the deadlock for the visitors in the 14th minute to stun the home crowd.
The Crabs probed for an equalizer but were kept at the bay by a resolute WAFA defense.
Dwarfs’s persistence finally paid off in the 51st minute when Hammond finished off a brilliant team move to even the scores.
Both teams continued to exchange blows but it was WAFA who spurned the best chance to edge it at the death as Sampson Agyapong missed a 1v1 effort.
In the end, the draw is probably a fair reflection of the game and both managers will be quite happy with the point.
