Pacey Ghanaian winger Issah Abass has completed a loan move to FC Twente in the Dutch Eredivisie until the end of the 2020/2021 football season.
The former Asokwa Deportivo speedster spent 2019/2020 season in the Dutch Eredivisie, playing for FC Utrecht.
He returned to his parent club FSC Mainz 05 at the end of the campaign and started very well during the pre-season, playing some beautiful games.
While he was included in the plans of the German Bundesliga club this season, Issah Abass has unfortunately not earned the anticipated regular playing time.
After discussions, his club has agreed to accept a loan offer from FC Utrecht where he will not spend the remaining 6 months of the ongoing season.
“FC Twente has reached an agreement with FSV Mainz 05 about the arrival of Issah Abass to Enschede. The 22-year-old Ghanaian attacker will be rented from the German club until the end of this season and arrived in De Grolsch Veste today,” an official announcement from the Dutch club has said today.
Issah Abass, 22, in the past played for clubs including Asokwa FC as well as NK Olimpija.
