Head Coach of Legon Cities Bashir Hayford says he is working on the goalscoring ability of his team following their recent struggles infront of goals.
Cities are the only club yet to score from open play with their 2 goals in the season coming from spot-kicks.
Ahead of their matchday seven encounter with Liberty Professional, the experience trainer disclosed he is doing everything to find solution for the problem including converting midfielders into attackers.
“Yes, we are working on all of them since my arrival. I am trying to convert some midfielders into strikers and also give the midfielders the freedom to shoot from behind the strikers.
“We don’t want to rely on our strikers only for goals, so that will be the plan going forward. So far so good and I think they are picking up gradually. I hope that will score goals from open play and not that from penalties.”
The Royals will travel to Dansoman to play Liberty Professionals on Sunday, January 3.
