The team at FMIG has put together a team of best performers in the Ghana Premier League during Match Week 6.
From the goalkeeper to the last outfield player, we have taken time to give the various reasons that qualifies the players to make our Team of the Week.
Razak Abalora – What a debut to remember for the Black Stars goalkeeper. He was the reason Kotoko kept a clean sheets at Dawu. Justified why he’s among the best goalkeepers in the country.
Imoro Ibrahim – Scored the games only goal of the game as Kotoko defeated Dreams FC at the theatre of Dreams. Moro was a constant threat to the Dreams defense when going forward and was solid at the back too.
Habib Mohammed – Did well to keep Agyenim Boateng quite in the game. Won almost all the aerial duels making sure Dreams wouldn’t get a goal at the back.
Robert Addo – The Hearts of Oak defender dealt with the threat of Kwame Peprah and gave him no chance in the game. Addo was in top of his game on the day as the Phobians picked their first away win of the season.
Gladson Awako – Another masterclass performance from ensured Olympics win back to back games for the first in so many years. He scored the only goal of the game as ten men Olympics overcome WAFA at the Accra Sports Stadium. Won the game’s MVP his scintillating display.
Benjamin Aquah- The midfielder was at his best for the Mysterious club scoring two goals to help them defeat Legon Cities away from home. Acquah was a big headache to the Cities defense as they struggled to find solutions to his threat on the day.
Manaf Umar – Showed why Hearts of Oak supporters should have faith in him with one of his best games in about a year. Manaf was dominant in the midfield for Hearts of Oak as the Phobians best King Faisal at Techiman. He capped up his performance by scoring the match winning goal through a penalty.
Salifu Ibrahim- Won his fourth man of the match award in six games with another good performance against Ashantigold. The Eleven Wonders magician scored his sides goal before the visitors levelled matters in the dye embers of the game. Salifu exhibited another dominant performance which earned him the man of the match award.
Wadudu Yakubu – Energetic and hard-working is his Hallmark. The king Faisal attacker was the best player on the pitch during his sides defeat to Hearts of Oak on Saturday. Assisted King Faisal equalizer with a good cross from the left side. Was denied thrice by the impressive Richmond Ayi. Won the man of the match award despite ending up on the losing side.
Diawise Taylor – Scored his fourth goal of the season with an easy finish following a confusion in the penalty box. Caused a lot of problems to the defense of Bechem United.
Benjamin Tweneboah – The darling boy of Elmina Sharks produced another impressive display as his side’s compounded Inter Allies misery. He scored the only goal of the game to give Elmina Sharks their second win of the season
