Ghanaian attacker, Asumah Abubakar-Ankrah has been nominated for the Switzerland Challenge League 2020 Best Player Award.

Abubakar had an exciting campaign in the  2019-20 season in the Swiss second-tier league leading his club to finished third on the log.

The 25- year old finished the season with 15 goals as the third best goal scorer in the league with four assists to his named.

He will battle it out with Davide Callà of FC Winterthur and Petar Pusic Grasshopper Club Zürich who gained promotion at the end of last season.

This season, the former conersbabies attacker  has scored seven goals and made four assists in eleven games.

Asumah is eligible to play for Ghana despite representing Portugal at the youth level.
