Elmina Sharks defeated Inter Allies by a lone goal at the Ndoum Sports Stadium on Sunday to clear match week 6 of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League Season.
Benjamin Tweneboah’s 42nd minute penalty goal made the difference and ensured that the hosts bagged all the three maximum points.
The defeat condemned Inter Allies to three losses in the spin following earlier defeats to King Faisal, Bechem United as pressure continues to mount on Technical Director/ Head Coach Henrikh Lehm.
Inter Allies dominated proceedings in most parts of the first half but luck eluded as they blew away the all their chances that came their way.
Five minutes from the break, Sharks were awarded a penalty and Tweneboah, scored from 12 yards.
Inter Allies again, took over the game after the goal. But had nothing to show after 90thminute whistle.
Braye missed a glorious chance in the 50th minute when he shot straight at goalkeeper Lord Bawa.
A great spell of the game was between Lord Bawa Martey, goalkeeper of Elmina Sharks and players of Inter Allies. Bawa was brilliant on the day as he stood between Inter Allies and a goal.
Richmond Lamptey, Paul Abanga and Hashmin Musah all came close. But were aptly cdenied by Bawa Martey as he individually won the game for Elmina Sharks.
