Legon Cities’ terrible start to season continued as they were beaten 2-1 at home against Ebusua Dwarfs on Friday evening.
The game started with a high tempo as the two teams were eager to break the deadlock, but it was the visitors who netted first through striker Benjamin Acquah 15 minutes into the encounter.
Acquah bagged his brace in the 34th minute to give his team a two-goal cushion.
Cities defender Joseph Adjei reduced the deficit from the spot on the stroke of half time but the goal proved to be only a consolation in the end.
The result means that the Royals have now gone six games without a win in the ongoing Ghana Premier League season.
The win lifts Dwarfs to sixth place on the table with Legon Cities sitting at the foot of the table.
