Respectable and industrious sportscaster Moses Antwi Benefo, popularly known as P.J. Mozay has resigned as the Communication Manager of Asante Kotoko hours after the sacking of Maxwell Konadu.
The astute journalist who boasts of about a decade and a half experience in the field resigned on Friday evening citing personal reasons for his decision.
P.J. Mozay who is currently the head of sport for Nhyira FM in Kumasi announced his resignation to the management of the club in an official letter addressed to the CEO, Nana Yaw Amponsah.
His decision came a few hours after Maxwell Konadu was dismissed as the head coach of the side after their 1-0 defeat to Olympics in the Ghana Premier League.
Despite not disclosing the actual reason for his resignation, footballmadeinghana.com understands that the decision to sack Maxwell Konadu was not communicated to the entire management before being announced.
The situation got unpleasant for the fine journalist when he was bombarded with calls by media houses inquiring about what led to the sacking of Maxwell when he (PJ) had no knowledge of the decision.
An insider also disclosed that the experienced journalist felt disrespected by the CEO of the club, Nana Yaw Amponsah for sidelining him when it comes to decision making in the management.
The resignation of P.J has come as a massive shock to several Asante Kotoko fans and followers of Ghana football.
The Asante Kotoko management will be appointing a new Communication Manager soon following the resignation of P.J.
