Assistant coach of King Faisal Anthony Commey says his side were not at their best following their 5-1 defeat to Ashantigold in the Outstanding week game of the Ghana Premier League.
Ashantigold produced a five star performance to dismantle King Faisal in a game the home side dominated from the start to the end.
After going down by 2-1 in the first half, Faisal had the opportunity to equalize when they were awarded a penalty just before the break, only for Kwame Peprah to blast his kick away.
Ashantigold returned from the break and added three goals to ease to a comfortable win over their regional neighbors.
Speaking to FootballMadeInGhana after the game, Commey admitted his team were the second best on the day due to their inability to stick to their game plan.
“We had a bad day today. That’s what caused our defeat. Our game plan was to hold them and hit them on the counter but we couldn’t stick to the plan.
The underfire coach also refused to blame Kwame Peprah for his penalty miss.
“Just yesterday he was scoring it with ease during our training. But we don’t know what happened today. That’s football.
Meanwhile FootballMadeInGhana.com understand Anthony Commey could lose his job in the coming days after three defeats in five games.
