Assistant Coach of Ghana’s U-20 side, Augustine Evans Adotey has assured of a win this afternoon when they face off against Niger.
Ghana’s Black Satellites will face their Nigerien counterparts in the semi finals of the ongoing WAFU Zone B U-20 Championship in Benin.
Ghana got here by virtue of finishing second in Group B courtesy a win and a loss against Nigeria and Ivory Coast respectively.
Niger on the other hand amassed five points in their group after three games.
The winner of the clash will not only qualify to the finals but also join the list of qualified teams for the African U-20 Cup of Nations in Mauritania next year.
Evans Adotey who was speaking in a pre match press briefing sounded confident when asked about Ghana’s chances against their opponents.
He said “with regards to qualification to the Mauritania 2021 championship. All is set for us to decide the fate of Ghana come tomorrow [Tuesday].
“I want to assure all Ghanaians that they should remain calm. By close of tomorrow, Ghana will book a ticket to the Mauritania Championship.
“We mean business tomorrow. We are going all out to ensure we qualify to Mauritania,” Coach Adotey stressed.
The game with Niger kicks off at 3pm GMT and will be streamed live on the Ghana FA’s Facebook page.
