The CAF Champions League match between Asante Kotoko and FC Nouadhibou has delayed in a situation that has left football fans wondering what’s going on.
The Porcupine Warriors were originally set to play their Mauritania counterpart on Saturday December 5, at exactly 3pm GMT.
The game, a second leg clash during the preliminary stage of the competition has delayed because of an impasse between the FC Nouadhibou team and the officiating officials.
FMIG checks reveal that the latest Covid-19 teta results returned positive cases within the camp of the two teams.
The cases involve 5 players of FC Nouadhibou while Asante Kotoko also recorded a positive case.
Intriguingly, the FC Nouadhibou contingent are challenging the authenticity of the test results and have refused to isolate the infected players from the rest of the squad.
The impasse has delayed the game for close to an hour with officials still working out the way forward.
