King Faisal defeated Inter Allies on Friday to register their first win of the season in the 2020/2021 season.
A late goal from Samuel Kusi earned the “Insha Allah” Boys their first win since their promotion to the top-flight.
Allies started the game very well and had more of the balls at the early stages.
It took time before King Faisal came into the game.
Kwame Peprah had the first chance of the game on the 24th minute but Rashid Seidu did well to deny him.
Allies were looking for a penalty after Abuga was fouled in the penalty box but the referee allowed play to continue.
Frimpong Boateng tried his luck for King Faisal but his shot was saved by Seidu.
Faisal created number of chances but couldn’t find the breakthrough till the blast of the first half whistle.
Frimpong Boateng nearly broke the deadlock but his shot went wide.
King Faisal finally got the breakthrough in the 85th minute, Samuel Kusi placed in a cross from Prince Otubua to score the only goal of the game.
King Faisal were reduced to 10men in the added time as Toufiq Razak was given his second cushion for a poor challenge.
The home side defended their goal lead till the blast of the final whistle.
