Ex-Hearts of Oak defender Amankwah Mireku has urged Ghana’s representative in the ongoing CAF Inter Club Competition Asante Kotoko and Ashgold to put away their previous game and focus on the upcoming fixtures.
According to the former footballer, the task ahead of the two clubs is very tedious and it requires thorough concentration.
Both clubs played drawn games in their first leg and they are hoping to overturn things in the second leg this weekend.
Ashantigold after playing 0-0 with Salitas FC will travel away to the Ouagadougou based club in the 2nd in Burkina Faso.
Asante Kotoko, on the other hand, will welcome Mauritanian side Nouadhibou at the Tamale Sports Stadium after a 1-1 stalemate in the first leg.
Speaking on Rainbow FM in an interview Mr Mireku stated that,
“Asante Kotoko and Ashgold should put away the previous game and focus on the upcoming fixtures”
“Although they have played a drawn game in the first leg doesn’t not mean they cant go forward in the competition, so they should forget about the pass and focus on the upcoming fixtures” He added
