A disappointed Hearts Coach Edward Nii Odoom did little to conceal his frustrations when he fingered his players for blame in his side’s slim margin loss to Inter Allies in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
Hearts of Oak played as visitors against the Eleven is to One at the Accra Sports stadium and despite dominating with chances created, found themselves losers courtesy a stupendous striker from Richmond Lamptey.
The goal came against the run of play, after Hearts had consistently created numerous chances which they failed to utilize.
Speaking from pitch side at the end of the game, Coach Edward Odoom wasted little time in expressing his disappointment at the turn of events.
“I am even short of words to say…because I don’t know why we should lose this match. Look at the number of chances created. From the blast of the whistle, we had all the chances in the world to kill this game,” a visibly downhearted Nii Odoom said.
“Our opponent didn’t play anything extraordinary, but one loose ball and we are done. We did everything we could, but the players didn’t help the club at all,” he concluded.
Hearts of Oak are without a win in two games with just a point to account for, although they have one outstanding fixture. They next play Karela United at home on Match Week 4.
