A stupendous striker from Richmond Lampey was enough to cause a heart break for Accra Hearts of Oak in a fiercely contested Ghana Premier League Match week 3 encounter.
Inter Allies went into a game as the only team yet to score a goal but certainly the striker form Lamptey is a beauty the likes of renowned long distance shooters like Lampard and Gerrard would envy.
Lamptey received a pass from a team-mate just after the center circle, a close control from him set him up nicely for him to unleash a venomous shot that comfortably beat Hearts goalie Richard Attah.
Inter Allies Coach Henrik Lehm made two changes to his starting eleven from their last game. Fard Ibrahim and Paul Abanga entered the list at the expense of Collins Cudjoe and Ivan Kpeglo.
On the part of Hearts of Oak, Coach Edward Odoom made three changes to his last starting eleven.
Lawale Mamane, Abednego Tetteh, and Manaf Umar replaced Benjamin Afutu, Frederick Ansah Botchway and Daniel Afriyie Barnieh.
Hearts of oak started brightly and created some decent chances in the early exchanges. They however failed to ake their chances and they bafflingly fluffed these openings.
After settling, Inter Allies also began to make some incursions although they also failed to make it count when it mattered most.
The first half eventually ended barren with both sides still level.
Back from recess, Hearts Coach Edward Odoom made two changes.
Nurus Sulley and Abednego Tetteh made way for Robert Addo Sowah and Eric Dizan respectively.
The highlight of the game will come in the 671st minute due to a moment of absolute brilliance from Lamptey. The former WAFA player first controlled a pass from a teammate and then fired from distance a world beauty.
Hearts failed to rally themselves into the game after failing to create any clear cut opportunity afterwards.
Inter Allies eventually held on for a precious win with Hearts of oak left to nurse their hurt.
