Former Hearts of Oak midfielder Samudeen Ibrahim has named Great Olympics as one of the team’s to look out for in the ongoing 2020/21 Ghana Premier League campaign.
The Accra based giants find themselves at the summit of the league table after the opening two games.
The two-time Premier League winners began their campaign with a hard fought 1-1 draw away to Medeama SC followed by an impressive 3-0 demolition exercise against Legon Cities.
Speaking exclusively to FootballMadeInGhana in an interview, Samudeen picked Olympics as the most impressive in the early stages of the season.
“Great Olympics have impressed me the most so far. Looking at the signings and buzz surrounding Legon Cities and how easily they dismantled them, they seem like a team to watch”
On Hearts of Oak’s title credentials, the talented midfielder indicated that he was uncertain if the Phobians have enough in their arsenal to annex the trophy.
He however stated that he was sure Coach Edward Nii Odoom and his charges are ready to compete.
“I don’t think they are ready to win the league but I think they are ready to compete. Other clubs have equally good players like Hearts of Oak have, you can see from the signings of Dreams FC, Asante Kotoko, Medeama SC and Legon Cities. So I think Hearts can compete but I can’t say they are ready to win because in the end how you compete determines where you place at the end of the season”
