The match between the senior national women’s football team and their Moroccan counterparts will go down in the records books of Ghana football.
The Black Queens hosted Morocco as part of a friendly engagement at the Accra Sports stadium on Thursday November 26 with the match ending 3-1 in favor of Ghana.
The game was streamed live on Facebook via the Ghana FA’s official page.
Interestingly, the total number of views hit 51k shortly after the game prompting the Ghana FA president Kurt E.S. Okraku to reacted positively towards it.
Per FMiG checks, this is the most watched Ghana women’s football fixture via live stream.
The idea of streaming live women’s football games is he brainchild of the GFA boss in a bid to extend the women’s game to every nook and cranny.
The initiative started with the various women’s league games last time out and extended to the national teams.
Earlier Ghana’s U-20 Women’s female team, the Black Maidens also played their Moroccan counterparts.
The Maidens lost 1-0 with that game also enjoying live streaming.
A little over 30,000 views were recorded.
