Ghana’s Black Queens came back from a goal down to defeat Morocco 3-1 in an International friendly at the Accra Sports Stadium.
A goal each from Faustina Kyeremeh, Linda Eshun and Georgina Alhassan gave Ghana a comfortable victory, Chibbak Chizlane got the consolation for the Morrocans.
It was a dream start for the Morrocans who were awarded a penalty on the 3rd minute
Skipper Chibbak Chizlane stepped up and converted it nicely.
The Morrocans continue their dominance as they look to double their lead. Chibbak was brought down in the penalty box but the referee whistled play on to the amazement of the Morrocans.
Faustina Kyeremeh drew the Black Queens level latching on a powerful shot on the edge of the box to make 1-1.
Sandra Owusu Ansah nearly made it 2-1 for Ghana but her feeble shot was saved by the Morrocan goalkeeper.
Janet Egyir scored a beautiful free kick on the 43rd minute to give Ghana the lead after Sandra Owusu Ansah was fouled on the left side.
The Morrocans were reduced to 10 men after was sent off
After the recess, the Black Queens came strongly looking to add to their lead.
Georgina Ayisha made it 3-1 for the Queen blasting a long shot to beat the hapless Morrocan goalkeeper.
The Black Queens created a lot of scoring opportunities afterwards but couldn’t find the back of the net.
The game ended 3-1 in favour of the Black Queens.
The two sides will meet again on Monday, November 30 in another friendly at the Accra Sports Stadium.
