Fiapre in the Sunyani West Constituency of the Bono Region will be the first to have a Community Park with Floodlights as the Member of Parliament for the Area, Ignatius Baffour fulfilled a promise he made during the handing over of the upgraded Fiapre Roman Park.
During the handing over ceremony of the upgraded Park, which now has a natural grass, a water reservoir, drainage systems, and metal fencing among other facilities, the MP hinted that the facility will be provided with floodlights in its second phase of development, which has been done.
The floodlights project is 90% done and will be commissioned on Friday, November 27, 2020, with a football match between the Apostles of Ghana Soccer, B.A United and Fiapre Select Side.
Ignatius Baffour Awuah has already indicated that the provision of the floodlights will encourage games to be played at nights for massive patronage of the working class who might have closed from their various work places.
The floodlights will also help unearth football talents who due to schooling might not have the time to play during the day times, to now have the opportunity to play at night, and also help most of the professional players who have not experienced playing under floodlights to explore and sharpens their skills during night matches.
