Legon Cities FC have finally made official their decision to axe head coach Goran Barjaktarevic from his role.
Rumors of the Serbian’s sacking dominated the media platforms following a massive loss to regional rivals Great Olympics in the Ghana Premier League.
Legon Cities have dismissed Coach Barjaktarevic for non-performance, per FMiG checks. After a huge outlay on the club’s playing body during the transfer window (which included the capture of Ghana’s iconic striker Asamoah Gyan), the Royals are yet to hit the ground running so far this season.
They drew their opening game 2-2 at home to Berekum Chelsea and were dismantled by Olympics a week later.
Find below an official statement from the club announcing the decision to terminate the deal with Goran Barjaktarevic with immediate effect.
The club is expected to announce a new Head Coach in the coming days.
