Ghanaian defender Jonathan Mensah has been named in the MLS Team Of The Year following his standout performance throughout the season for Columbus Crew

The Columbus Crew skipper played in every single minute of football action for his side throughout the regular season aiding them to book a place in the AudiCup Play-offs competition.

The Columbus Crew captain  missed out on 2020 Major League Soccer (MLS) defender of the year award for 2020 award.

He came third behind Walker Zimmerman of Nashville SC and Mark McKenzie of Philadelphia Union

The 30 year old defender made history to become the 12th Columbus Crew player to feature in the MLS Team Of The Year
