Medeama have finally settled the outstanding debt of US$ 54,000 to former striker Nathaniel Asamoah to avoid punishment from the GFA.
This comes after the Ghana FA ordered the former FA Cup holders to pay their former striker US$ 54,000 and US$15,000 to the Ghana FA or suffer three points deduction for every match they will play in the 2020/21 Premier League season.
The statement also stated, the Mauve and Yellows will suffer a transfer ban (both domestic and international) for a period of one (1) year, should they fail to comply with the above on or before 18 December, 2020.
The Ghana FA Disciplinary Committee ruling on Wednesday, 28 October, 2020 sought to enforce an Appeals Committee decision which ordered the Tarkwa-based side to pay Asamoah 40% of his transfer fee to Raja Casablanca.
For failing to comply with the earlier decision on 2 August, 2020, Medeama SC have also paid a fine of GH¢ 3,000 to the Ghana Football Association.
The Tarkwa-based side have moved quickly to avoid any boardroom points by coughing up the cash to the 30-year-old.
Medeama have sent payment confirmation to the Ghana Football Association.
Asamoah was transferred to the Moroccan side in 2015 for US$ 150,000 but terminated his contract after four months.
