King Faisal are set to miss the services of their skipper for their league opener against West African Football Academy on Sunday.

The veteran midfielder has missed out of training since Monday due to illness and he’s likely not to be ready for the game against WAFA.

FootballMadeInGhana.com understands the midfielder didn’t travel with the team to Sogakope and will have to wait for the game against Aduana Stars to make his long awaited debut for the club.

The former Asante Kotoko midfielder joined the Kumasi based club last season but failed to make his debut due to incomplete documentation.

He was recently appointed the captain of the club ahead of the upcoming season.

Akuffo’s absence is a massive blow for coach Slaviša Božičić who rates the midfielder very high in his team.

Left back Samuel Kusi and attacker Sulley Mohammed will have to undergo a late fitness before they can be cleared to feature in the game.
