Following the return of Osman Ibrahim to Asante Kotoko after his loan spell, Kwame Peprah will be hoping to take over the mantle to lead King Faisal in the 2020/2021 season.
The In Sha Allah Boys had a season to forget playing 14 games without winning any. But for the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the club would have been relegated.
The decision of the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association to cancel the Ghana Premier League came as a blessing to King Faisal who almost booked their ticket to return to the first division.
New season beckons and King Faisal will be without Ibrahim Osman who scored 8 goals in 14 games in the truncated league.
Kwame Peprah who scored four goals in all competitions has since taken over the mantle and set to lead Faisal in the upcoming season.
About Kwame Peprah
Peprah started his career at Liberty FC where he played his colts football.
After colts, he signed for Kaaseman a division two side in Kumasi. Peprah after two years at the club caught the attention of King Faisal who signed him at the beginning of the 2019/2020 season.
Peprah has since been unstoppable for King Faisal becoming an the key man to carry the team on his shoulders.
He featured in 13 of the 14 games played in the truncated league.
What to expect
King Faisal made 16 signings to strengthen the team in order not to repeat the mistakes of last season.
Former strikers Sulley Mohammed and Prince Papa Arkoh have returned to the club to boost the attacking end of the team.
With the likes of Micheal Akuffo, Emmanuel Maidawa and Frimpong Boateng available, King Faisal will be looking to turn things around.
A lot will depend on Peprah who is set to be leading marksman of the team for this campaign.
Peprah himself has vowed to push King Faisal to finish in the top four and hopefully win the league topscorer for the 2020/2021 season.
