Asante Kotoko new recruit Emmanuel Keyekeh has promised fans of the club to expect the best of seasons from the team when the 2020-21 campaign commences.
The midfielder was added to Coach Maxwell Konadu’s squad from Karela United in a move to bolster the club’s midfield ahead of the season where Kotoko compete in the domestic competitions and also in the CAF Champions League.
The player has told the club’s official channel how he has been helped to slot in comfortably in the Asante Kotoko setup.
“I am settling in very well, with the help of the old players, the captain and a couple of them, I am settling in very well”, he said.
As a new player, Keyekeh was quick to highlight that the burden of responsibility of the team blossoming on the pitch in the upcoming season rests on the entire playing body and not an individual.
“I wouldn’t say it will be a personal responsibility, its a shared responsibility among the players”, Emmanuel Keyekeh acknowledged.
In giving assurances, the Black Stars B midfielder noted the team will give its utmost on the pitch to ensure set targets are realized.
“We are going to give our maximum best, but we have to fight together to achieve what we want to achieve,” he emphasized.
Asante Kotoko will open their season on November 14 with a home game against Techiman Eleven Wonders. Aside competing in the local competitions, the Porcupine Warriors will also challenge for honors in the CAF Champions League.
Keyekeh is confident the team can annex their first league crown in 6 years and says “with the determination at camp so far, I believe surely [Insha Allah] we are going to give it (trophy) to them (fans)”.
